Our
story began here.
Caversham Mill Restaurant sits beside the Lions River, once known as the Mpofana River. It is where the Midlands Meander began in 1984—and remains a place for an easy breakfast, a long lunch, a special dinner or a family day out.
Today, the team preserves the charm of the original mill while serving a refreshed menu made with care and creativity.

History lives in the view.
Built between 1852 and 1853 by Richard and James Hodson, the mill was once part of a 60-acre working property. The river, bridge and enduring character of the place are still part of every visit.
